SA's original leather crafting course
Our leather craft courses will enable you to start your own home based leather business. Even if you have never worked with leather, in just ten days we can teach you the manufacturing skills to make top quality genuine leather handbags, briefcases, travel bags, belts, leather smalls etc.
These are courses in hand and not machine manufacturing. You will learn by designing and making actual products (Depending on which course choice you make)– at least one hand stitched belt, one handbag, one briefcase or travel bag, a set of manufacturing examples and range of smalls. Training is very practical and done in an actual workshop.
The Academy has trained over 620 students from as far as Brazil, the UK, the USA and all over Africa and South-Africa over the past 10 years. Our unique course is based on the experience of Frik van Jaarsveld who has been doing leather craft work for more than 30 years.
We are in Wellington in the Western Cape and opening for individual training on 4 May 2020 within Covid-19 rules.
